Crystal Palace have opened talks with Real Betis for Chadi Riad.

Riad, 20, left Barcelona for Real Betis this summer.

The centre-back moved on loan with a compulsory purchase option - set at 3m.

However, Barcelona have secured a buy-back clause of 7m.

Sport says Barcelona plans to buy Riad back, then sell him on for around 15m.

However, Palace have now opened negotiations with Real Betis over Riad and are willing to pay 15m.
